The Annual Maison et Objet Indoor/Outdoor Trade Show Paris was back in full mode this past month. And in true K.Co Fashion (the way I abbreviate wonder-designer from Cebu, Kenneth Cobonpue, these days) he’s always got a show stopper piece, or two, or three to debut. No one, not even K.Co can top the Biodegradable Car from earlier this year at Salon del Mobile in Milan, but his three pieces months later in Paris take it back down to what K.Co knows best; really elegant, timeless, luxe, and comfortable indoor/outdoor furniture defined by beautiful lines and silhouettes.
The most glam of the bunch, Papillon, a tall lounge chair and ottoman resembling a white butterfly.
The second piece, Rapunzel, is a one-person little loungy thing for the indoors. The whole design is characterized by woven frabric. So no, this one is NOT an over sized basket like the others, it’s just a soft plushy fabric. And that’s what makes it so brilliant.
The last piece, the Mermaid, is the one that you can really lie down all the way, grab an e-book, and take a catnap after.
I’m inspired again.
